World Cup Day 11 Results: Spain Win 4-0, Cabo Verde Holds Uruguay

Confirmed June 21 results: Spain 4-0 Saudi Arabia, Egypt 3-1 New Zealand, Uruguay 2-2 Cabo Verde, and Belgium 0-0 IR Iran.

June 21 completed Matchday 11 of the 2026 World Cup group stage. Groups G and H stayed open, with Spain finally finding rhythm and Cabo Verde collecting another valuable point.

Spain 4-0 Saudi Arabia — Group H, Atlanta

Spain produced their most convincing performance of the tournament so far. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring, Mikel Oyarzabal struck twice, and a Saudi Arabia own goal completed the 4-0 scoreline.

The result moved Spain into a strong position before their final group match against Uruguay. Saudi Arabia suffered a heavy defeat but still has a route into contention against Cabo Verde.

Uruguay 2-2 Cabo Verde — Group H, Miami

Cabo Verde continued their impressive World Cup debut by drawing 2-2 with Uruguay in Miami. After holding Spain in the opening round, they again took points from a former world champion.

Group H remains finely balanced, with Spain ahead and Uruguay, Cabo Verde and Saudi Arabia all still looking to settle their fate on June 26.

Egypt 3-1 New Zealand — Group G, Vancouver

New Zealand scored first, but Egypt responded strongly after the break. Mohamed Salah, Mostafa Ziko and Trezeguet were all on target as Egypt moved into a commanding Group G position.

Belgium 0-0 IR Iran — Group G, Los Angeles

Belgium and Iran shared a goalless draw. Belgium saw more of the ball, but Iran's defensive shape held firm and kept the group unresolved heading into the final matchday.
