Group E: Ecuador Beats Germany, Ivory Coast Advances
Ecuador beat Germany 2-1 to end Germany's perfect start. Germany still finished top of Group E, while Ivory Coast defeated Curacao 2-0 to lock up second place.
Ecuador's third-place finish was enough to keep them in the tournament, while Curacao exited after earning a historic first World Cup point earlier in the group.
Group F: Netherlands First, Japan Second, Sweden Through
The Netherlands beat Tunisia 3-1 to finish unbeaten and top Group F. Japan drew 1-1 with Sweden to secure second place, while Sweden's four points were enough to advance as a third-place team.
Tunisia exited after three defeats. The final Group F order set up knockout ties involving Brazil, Japan, the Netherlands and Morocco.
Group D: USA Loses to Turkey, Australia Draws Through
Turkey beat the United States 3-2 in a final-match response, but it was not enough to stay alive. The USA still finished first thanks to its first two results.
Paraguay and Australia drew 0-0. Australia advanced in second place, while Paraguay remained in the knockout bracket via the third-place table.
