Ivory Coast 1-2 Norway
Norway beat Ivory Coast 2-1. Antonio Nusa and Erling Haaland scored as Norway survived a tight knockout match and moved on.
Ivory Coast pulled one back through Amad Diallo, but could not force extra time. Norway now moves into a Round of 16 match against Brazil.
France 3-0 Sweden
France beat Sweden 3-0 and continued its efficient tournament. Kylian Mbappe again played a decisive role, while France's depth and pressing made it difficult for Sweden to sustain pressure.
France will face Paraguay next in a matchup between a tournament favorite and one of the competition's biggest underdogs.
Mexico 2-0 Ecuador
Co-host Mexico eliminated Ecuador 2-0. Back in Mexico City, Mexico used home support and tempo control to keep the match in its preferred rhythm.
Mexico now faces England in the Round of 16. Altitude, crowd pressure and England's ability to manage possession will all matter.
